Band Bios:
Pleasensations: Pleasensations (Pronounced Ple-sen-say-shuns) emerges as the brainchild of Neon Steve, a leading figure in Canada’s House music scene. Originating as a “chill” mixtape appropriately titled “Pleasensations,” Steve had no specific goal in mind other than to shed light on the other side of the music he was enjoying outside of his club-oriented productions. Picture the serene vibes of a sunset, the invigorating atmosphere of sunrise, the pulsating energy of daytime festivals, and the romantic aura of date nights all merging in a dimly lit underground club – that’s the essence of Pleasensations. Steve’s eclectic curation of smooth, sultry, feel-good House, R’N’B, Hip-Hop and Indie Dance fused together in a forward-thinking approach led to its quick embrace by fans which prompted its evolution into a celebrated series which has since amassed over a million plays. As the series grew and evolved, so did the demand for live performances, leading Neon Steve to pioneer Pleasensations-branded club nights, festival appearances and even special pop-up performances showcasing beautiful outdoor locations around Western Canada. What began as an experimental departure from his harder hitting productions blossomed into a dynamic project that took on a life of its own. Through this evolution, Steve demonstrated his adaptability and creativity, solidifying Pleasensations as a vibrant presence within Canada’s electronic music community.
Naturalist: Naturalist is made up of Mister Moffat (Sam) and FlatSpin (Caleb). The brothers from Fernie have been making waves in the Canadian music scene for over a decade. Playing festivals and clubs from Coast to Coast. Sharing the stage with acts from all over the world. They are known for their feel-good energy; while blending genres of funky House and Breakbeat, they transform the dancefloor with high vibrations.
Mews: From the forest of the west coast of BC, Mews was raised in the paws of festival culture. Her curiosity for music was ignited at a young age and she knew from early on that she needed to share this passion with the world. Her sound is largely influenced by all types of bass music, predominantly coming from the UK, infused with r’n’b, hiphop, rap, dancehall and nostalgic dance floor anthems from her youth. Dissolving the boundaries between
genres, you can count on her to get your body moving with earth shaking bass and warm heart tones. She now graces the stages of festivals such as Wicked Woods, Shambhala and Rifflandia as well as events across Canada and beyond. Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight, never running from a
real fight, she is the one named Mews.
