It’s been nearly a year since they have graced a stage in Victoria\, and they are returning in full swing. \nThroughout their five-year run so far\, Bealby Point has been making waves in their Vancouver indie scene. This past year alone\, they performed at the prestigious Rickshaw Theatre (supporting 604 Record’s The Jins)\, as well as a massive headline show at The Pearl on Granville. They were also invited to perform at the NXNE Showcase in Toronto\, an honor that marked their first gig outside of Vancouver. Listeners can expect more exciting music from the group in the near future. The band plans to release several singles throughout the remainder of the year eventually paving the way for a full-length album down the line. As they continue to evolve and reach new heights\, Bealby Point is poised to leave their unique mark on the up-and-coming indie music scene and beyond. \nPOSH COAT \nPosh Coat is a wardrobe full of leather\, faux fur and silk\, paired with your favourite flared jeans and Chuck Taylors. This dynamic trio is making waves off the shores of Canada’s west coast with their Strokes and Killers inspired Indie rock. The band has rightfully grabbed attention as an up-and-coming force in the Victoria music scene and are drawing an ever-growing crowd of dedicated fans with each performance. This talented trio taps into a range of influences and transforms their musical ideas into fresh new tunes\, all the while bringing powerful yet emotional energy with a soulful infusion of blues. \nPosh Coat’s momentum is building; they have found their unique identity\, voice\, and flair. Their driving and laid-back styles create a framework for their stories which capture the essence of the everyday and pinpoint the beauty in the mundane. The music is powerful modern rock\, with an engaging emphasis on catchy melodies\, thoughtful lyrics\, and a soulful infusion of blues. Posh Coat is diverse\, full of style and packing a bold\, energizing trio sound. \nPosh Coat will be making their Upstairs return following a very successful run as The Zone 91.3’s Band of the Month. \nDOCKSIDE \nDockside is a co-op mission to write some of the coolest songs you’ve ever heard. Grounded in our garage band roots\, Andres Nimegeers\, Ben Cripps\, Matt Seale\, and Tanner Vanin\, share a musical chemistry that can only be described as ‘trill’. The influences of The Strokes\, Dominic Fike\, and Weezer can be heard in our live sounding mixes\, funky guitar riffs\, creative rock drums\, and smooth bass lines. \n\nEntry Requirements: All patrons must be 19 years of age or older with two pieces of valid ID (one of which must be government issued with a photograph). We do not allow gang or fight related apparel. We are members of the BarWatch program\, so entry may be denied due to previous incidents at our or other participating venues.
